Real Wedding Cakes: 2021

I love cake. I want to eat all the cake. I don’t believe that wedding cake has to be bland and dry. There are so many wonderful wedding cake bakers in the DC area. Your wedding cake and be delicious and look as amazing as the ones below from our 2021 weddings.

If you’re already placing a specialty furniture rental order, throw a unique cake table on there! You won’t regret it. The above cake was set outside of the wedding tent because right after we cut it, this happened:

Having a DC-themed cake is very popular, and I love to see how each couple takes a very broad theme and makes it their own. This particular couple got engaged at the Lincoln Memorial, so we used images of that building in a few spots at their wedding!

How about this cool, surprise groom’s cake, above? It was inspired by Kazimir Malevich, a Russian avant-garde artist and art theorist, whose pioneering work and writing had a profound influence on the development of abstract art in the 20th century.
