Notable Wedding Details | 2017 Real Weddings
Despite all the round up posts I’ve done over the last month, there are still real wedding ideas from 2017 that I want to share with you! These are the notable details that didn’t fit into any other category so far. Let’s hop to it! (But if you missed the other posts, here they are: 2017 wedding stats, wedding venues, wedding ceremonies, bridesmaid fashion, bridal bouquets, wedding cakes, and wedding reception head tables.)
I am obsessed with this Virignia wedding welcome box. Local honey, Old Bay Crab Chips, and the famous Cow Pie cookie from Upper Crust bakery in Middleburg – plus all your essentials. Don’t miss the note or sticker featuring the custom drawing of the private home where the wedding took place. Photo by Lisa Boggs.
I have fabulous and trend-setting clients. Together, we have been delighting wedding guests of all sizes with surprise food trucks since 2013. We usually bring them in for a late night snack. Here we have Captain Cookie at Riverside on the Potomac, photos by AE Landes.
Mixed gender wedding parties are not that new. But now I see them more than ever, and I love it. Top photo by Steve and Jane. Bottom photo by Jennifer Gulley.
Of course I wish all my couples’ family members are able to attend their weddings. But that is not always the case. This memorial table, in honor of the bride’s father, was beautiful and meaningful. This table was set up during the reception – for the cermeony we placed the flag on the chair next to the bride’s mother. Both gestures really meant a lot to the family. Photo by Sincereli.
