Wedding Receptions: 2018 Real Weddings
Yesterday we looked at all the real wedding ceremony locations for my 2018 real weddings. Today we take a peek at all the accompanying wedding reception photos!
Bellwether Events worked on twelve wedding receptionss in 2018. Five weddings were in DC, two weddings were in Baltimore, and four weddings were in Virginia. Nine were at special event venues, two were at hotels, and one was at a private club. 2018 included six (!) wedding venues that Bellwether Events had never worked at before, including two Baltimore wedding venues: Baltimore Museum of Industry and The George Peabody Library.

Westin Alexandria Wedding Reception
After a Catholic mass in DC, these wedding guests came over to this great hotel for the wedding reception in Alexandria. Picture by Steven and Lily.
Wedding Reception at the Baltimore Museum of Industry
I really liked the Baltimore Museum of Industry. It is an interesting space, and you have to be smart about the way you use it, but there is not much else like it in the area, it is super unique! This was a winter white design! Picture by Genevieve Leiper.
Wedding Receptions at Carnegie Institute for Science
Above, a modern black and copper palette with big floral patterns for the cocktail hour reception. Below, a feminine Gatsby-inspired reception. The Carnegie Institute for Science can be styled in so many different ways! Below photo by Amanda Gilley.
Hotel Monaco Wedding
I love the Hotel Monaco ballroom, it is so classic but still updated with the mixed metals and the art deco feel. And their in-house chairs are comfy and good looking! Picture by Susie and Becky.
Peabody Library Wedding Reception
The venue that I wished to work at for 14+ years, the Peabody Library! We went preppy/classic with the navy and gold combo. I recently saw a pale gray with gold wedding reception here and it was stunning! Pictures by Lisa Boggs.
Rust Manor House Tented Reception
My first time at Rust Manor House was a good one – with that classic gray and gold palette that I mentioned earlier. The frame tent had a lot going on with the structure and the lights, so we did the most delicate and perfect garland. Picture by Procopio Photography.
Wedding Reception at The Torpedo Factory
The Torpedo Factory in Alexandria is a big space, and we used all of it! We tented the back patio area for the cocktail reception, and set up a cocktail-style dinner in the main area – across from the giant dance floor for this 240 person wedding. Picture by Procopio Photography.
