Happy FIRST Anniversary Katie & James!

On this lazy Monday (just kidding, I’ve been working since dawn) I think back to one year ago when I was working with this adorable couple on their Hotel Monaco Alexandria, Virginia wedding. (Now called The Alexandrian Hotel.)

We were so lucky with the weather as we did not have a backup tent for the wedding reception to be held in the hotel’s courtyard, so we would have had to really pivot in order to move everything inside. And a wedding dinner is always better al fresco, wouldn’t you agree?

I loved their coral and gray attire. Lynnvale Studios created  Katie’s KILLER bridal bouquet as well as 10 completely different wedding reception centerpieces which is a concept I am totally in love with. And Deb Lindsey took these amazing photos!

This was one fo the first times where the color palette was sort of “all the things” which is a trend that has persisted for well over a decade.

The one time I (probably) didn’t stress out about dining al fresco. And definitely the beginning of my break away from white table linens.
