2019: Epic Wedding Decor
Introducing: epic wedding decor round up. In past two years, I started sharing photos I considered epic, or are just my favorite photos that didn’t really fit into any of the other round up categories. So you can click to see our 2017 epic wedding photos and our 2018 epic wedding photos.
For 2019, I was so happy with our weddings, our clients, and our photos, I had to make 2 “epic photos” posts – one with decor and one with people.
Wedding Details: Ceremony Florals
Above, we have modern, asymmestrical greenery wreaths for the doors that lead to the ceremony space at Riverside on the Potomac. Below, we have a modified arch/chuppah overflowing with greenery and white blooms for a ceremony at Dumbarton House.
Wedding Decor: Seating Charts
At most weddings, I am still setting up a table with escort cards, and there is plenty of room for creativity there. But I love a seating chart! Above we have a collaboration between the stationery designer and the floral designer to make it a statement decor piece. Below, we pinned cards to a huge pin board that guests could remove the card and take it with them to their dinner table.
Wedding Details: Cocktail Hour
Above, I love the gobo light on the ground at DAR that features the custom crest made by the stationery designer. It was on all night, but photographed best during cocktail hour. Below, during cocktail hour we offered a flower crown bar for the guests to visit during the cocktail hour. Crowns, corsages and boutonnieres were available to all guests, custom made by the floral designer and her team.
Wedding Decor: Fireplaces
Giving the people what they want: amazing floral decor pieces for fireplaces at wedding venues.
