Colorful Spring Wedding at DAR
I’m so happy to share this colorful Spring wedding at DAR with you today. First up, all the lovely photos we captured before the ceremony, which is the best time to get most of your posed and group photos accomplished!
DAR Spring Wedding Ceremony
A classic DAR wedding ceremony on the Terrace corner on a gorgeous Spring day. I loved the shelves we used to distribute the welcome drinks at the top of the C Street steps.
DAR Wedding Bagpiper
Our bagpiper-led second line from the C Street stairs to the 17th Street doors was the perfect way to honor C’s Irish heritage and lead the guests around to the entrance we wanted them to use for the cocktail hour in the Library. JR, the piper, played several songs and then posed for photos with the guests on the 17th Street steps. He also brought a tartan of C’s family for him to proudly wear.

Colorful DAR Spring Wedding Details
Small details speak so loudly. I’m obsessed with this coffee table and the brass peacocks we used on the mantle. I love the colors that the couple picked to use in their linens and their florals. DAR is a blank slate; I love it when couples fill it with color. L came up with this clever mantle design using greenery and props, and not only was it much more affordable than a large floral piece, but it also looks like it belongs there.
Congrats on making it to the end; you’re my favorite. PS, did you notice the wardrobe malfunction that L suffered early in the day and how we solved it?
