The Ultimate Guide to Palm Springs Wedding Venues: Updated 2021
I present a labor of love: the ultimate guide to Palm Springs wedding venues. Palm Springs is a huge destination wedding location. Before the age of AirBnB, the most popular options were the former private estates of celebrities that had been converted to host special events. But eventually, the noise and traffic and disruption to these residential neighbors came to a head. Now there is a restriction on amplified sound outside per city ordinances. Some venues have to restrict this at all times due to how close the neighbors are, other larger properties restrict it just between 10 pm and 10 am. Most properties are very upfront about these rules, but be sure to ask if it’s not mentioned – especially if you want an outdoor dance party with a DJ or band.
But pray tell, why is a DC wedding planner writing the ultimate guide to wedding venues in Palm Springs? That story begins in 2014, when I was in a wedding at La Chureya in Palm Springs, and I absolutely fell in love with the town. (Larry liked it too!) If you make it to the bottom of this post, you will get to some personal photos from that trip as your reward. But this all came back up again with an old friend asked me to help her plan a 2022 destinateion wedding in Palm Springs. Yay! We can’t wait to go back.

Restaurants in Palm Springs with Private Rooms
I went nuts and decided to include restaurants as well. destination weddings are often on the smaller side, so a restaurant might fit the bill perfectly for your celebration. And if not, you still might need a venue for a welcome party, a rehearsal dinner, or a farewell brunch!
These are spread out from Palm Springs to Indio. We included capacity when it was listed on their websites. When we refer to “seated” or “banquet” that means offering a space for all your guests to sit and eat at the same time. When we refer to “reception” or “standing” that refers to a cocktail-style reception with limited seating for your guests.
On our trip, I remember eating at Lulu, Copley’s and Workshop – all wonderful! And I am totally obsessed with Norma’s at The Parker (there is also one in NYC!)

Conclusion to the Ultimate Guide to Palm Springs Wedding Venues
There are a lot of tricky factors to planning a destination wedding in Palm Springs. Coachella and other festival weekends are to be avoided. Pay attention to Day Light Savings, as once the sun is behind the mountains, it gets dark and chilly very quickly. It’s also really hot in the summer, as you might imagine.
There you have it. The Ultimate Guide to Palm Springs Wedding Venues. If you like this kind of content, I have all sorts of DC wedding venue posts you can read up on.
I have to thank my friend Katy Carrier, who used to live in Palm Springs, but is now in Nashville, for helping me so much with this!
