Washington DC Political and Historical Themed Wedding Details

Abigail and Matt had so many cool details at their wedding, many of which were sourced through Etsy vendors across the country. Two of my favorite items were the chalkboard signs and the “campaign” buttons. Abigail and Matt had a few ideas for a wedding party favor, but I sold them on the idea of a retro campaign button. They incorporated their theme of “Monuments, Marriage and Love with a Capitol L” on the red, white and blue button. We distributed the buttons to guests as they first arrived at Fort McNair and they sported them all night, showing Abigail and Matt their support for their union! There were two chalkboard signs. The first was set up at the entrance of the cocktail reception at Fort McNair, welcoming guests and explaining the bar situation. The second sign was used on the second floor of Fort McNair, where the dinner and dancing reception was held. Thanks to Kurstin Roe for the photographs!
