A Catholic Ceremony and an Oatlands Plantation Reception

Cassandra and Ricardo were such a fun couple to work with. And so were their families! They had a lovely Catholic ceremony at Saint Timothy’s in Chantilly, Virginia that was capped off with a bagpiper – the father of the bride’s only wedding request! Thanks to Kurstin Roe for these gorgeous photos.

After the ceremony, the wedding party and guests went out to Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg, Virginia for the reception. We had the cocktail hour in the gardens and the reception under a white pole tent.

Cassandra fell in love with these sharp pink linens early on, but we knew we wanted to tone it down a bit. So we incorporated the gold chair, white base plate  and a black napkin to help keep the look formal and not too feminine. Barbara from Growing Wild brought in shades of green  and white florals to balance the bright pink as well.

Since the tent was slightly larger than our needs, we brought in some lounge furniture to fill in the space. Just outside of the tent we had a cigar station that was a huge hit after dinner.

How gorgeous are they? Thanks again to Kurstin Roe for the great memories.
