Glamorous Bachelorette Party Inspiration

For the inspiration shoot I planned at Kapnos in Washington, DC, I wanted to show more of an “evening look” for the ladies – appropriate for an upscale bachelorette party fit for a foodie! This chef’s table is the ideal place to host such a celebration! Many thanks to Deb Lindsey for these great photos! And don’t miss the moody rehearsal dinner look I styled for Kapnos.

Christina from Paperzest partnered with Michele from Meant To Be Calligraphy to create this fun bachelorette party invitation and menu card. I adore the mixed metals with the pale pink.

Kapnos has a dark and moody vibe, with a variety of interesting chandeliers. When you are hosting a party in a space that has a unique look, plan your decor to work with it; don’t try to fight it.

I’ve long loved the idea of placing the menu card under a clear glass charger plate. This gold-rimmed square plate from DC Rental was perfect for that look. I added a small, square place mat (cut from Hester & Cook kitchen paper rolls) for added depth. The gold rimmed wine glass and champagne flute were the perfect extra touch of metallics for this bachelorette party tablescape.

Table space is often at a premium in restaurants, where the food is the feature, so Elegance & Simplicity kept the floral arrangements small and in a mixture of metallic and glass vessels alongside mercury glass votive candles. The effect was a classy, glowing centerpiece design that is perfect for an upscale bachelorette party.
