Colorful Rehearsal Dinner Inspiration
Sometimes I fall in love with a linen, and I might have to wait years in order to use it. And sometimes I have to schedule an inspiration shoot in order to use said linen. As a result, I present this colorful rehearsal dinner design at Kapnos Taverna in Arlington, Virginia. The linen came from La Tavola, and it fits perfectly in this modern mezzanine. I’m so grateful to Kurstin Roe for these great photos.
The Dandelion Patch did a great job on the invitation and the menu card for this design. I sent them the linen swatch and asked for something that was a little “watercolor-y” and they definitely delivered!
You certainly don’t have to give party favors at your rehearsal dinner, but if you did, I think some Greek olive oil from Sapore Oil would be ideal when you are dining at a Greek restaurant! I attached a tag to the bottle so that it would double as place cards for the guest seating.
I pulled in these modern chargers and turquoise napkin from DC Rental to complete the tablescape for this rehearsal dinner inspiration.
I honestly didn’t know what Sidra Forman was going to do for the flower centerpieces. I sent her the linen swatch and sorta of said – do whatever you think is best! Sometimes that is the way to get the best results, if you ask me.
Kapnos Taverna offers modern Greek cuisine with a healthy amount of seafood on their menu. This shellfish platter first course would certainly please your guests at your rehearsal dinner.
