Rehearsal Dinner Inspiration at Graffiato
There are seemingly endless wonderful restaurants in Washington DC to host your rehearsal dinner at. You will likely decide to pick a location that is close to your rehearsal, or close to your hotel blocks, or even a place that is meaningful to you as a couple. Graffiato, in Chinatown, is a great spot for groups up to 80 guests. I worked with their team, and some other fabulous vendors to create this rehearsal dinner inspiration shoot. With some very simple, and affordable, decor you can really spruce up what is already a very nice space! Many thanks to Jess Latos for the great photos!
But before we get to the tablescape, look at the stunning, and I do mean incredible, stationery suite created by Carrie Ink! A sleeve for the invitation, fantastic envelope liners, vintage postage from Verde Studio, and a gorgeous RSVP card. This would be a fabulous first impression to your guests to prepare them for your rehearsal dinner. We complimented the invitation suite with menu cards and place cards that will b e affixed to the chairs.
As for the decor, the biggest impact are these sleek centerpieces from Elegance & Simplicity. The color palette I picked was a masculine black, white and gold, but there aren’t any black flowers, so we went with a dark purple tulip and deep blue berries to accent the white blooms. Gold taper candles in black candlesticks will provide great ambiance once the sun goes down. An affordable paper place mat from Hester & Cook really gives dimension to the table, and are a great compliment to the in-house napkins. The design is finished off with the menu card and a striped straw.
Instead of a typical tented place card, we went with a fun tag for the chairs. It was a simple DIY, completed in minuted with black ribbon and zots!
