A DC Wedding at Iron Gate Restaurant

E and G planned a petite wedding in the summer of 2021. A group of about 25 is perfect for an Iron Gate restaurant wedding when you want to host the ceremony on site and have space to mix and mingle before dinner. With such a small group, many things were much more casual, including the getting ready part of the wedding day. There is something very sweet about a couple who gets dressed together. Both E and G dressed at home, and had their first look on their street.

Ketubah Signing
We were grateful that we had a good space at Iron Gate to sign the ketubah with the Rabbi before the wedding ceremony in the cozy tent. You can’t forget about this part of a Jewish wedding ceremony, it is crucial! Make sure the ketubah lays flat, you have an archival pen, and you have kippot for the attendees who want them.

Iron Gate Wedding Ceremony
How sweet is this little tent. It is perfect for a micro wedding in the city. The aesthetics are gorgeous for an urban wedding celebration. We even had space for the chuppah.

Iron Gate Wedding Reception
With just 25 guests, we had space for mingling to the lovely jazz duo with passed appetizers and drinks before guests sat down at three dinner tables. The vine and bistro light covered canopy really creates an oasis in the heart of this city. And it doesn’t hurt that the Mediterranean menu is absolutely top notch.
