Anderson House Wedding | Happy First Anniversary!
Last winter I had the privilege of working on this intimate Anderson House wedding in Washington DC. Today L & E are celebrating their first wedding anniversary – yay! I do love a woman in a vintage fur wrap for a winter wedding.
This was a wedding where we paid homage to the bride’s deceased father by placing mementos of him on a chair in the front row of the ceremony and later displayed them at the reception for guests to view.
I had never worked at Anderson House before, so it was a fun learning experience for me; and I made a new friend in Glenn, the site director. But it was winter, which meant that I didn’t really get to appreciate the gardens, so I hope to be back at this wedding venue soon! Typically, if the weather cooperates, all the dinner tables are al fresco in the garden, surrounding a reflecting pool. It is quite stunning.
Many thanks to Sincereli for these pretty photos!
We had a band at this wedding, but the venue no longer permits this.
