Gifts for Your Book Club
I love my book club. My book club has been a lifeline since I joined in 2015. It is where I’ve been able to make friends outside of my work. I love my industry friends, but I think it is important to have friends outside of your work as well. We usually have a white elephant exchange during our December meeting, which inspired this blog post about book club gift ideas.
And yes, we do read the books! We read only certain themes: sci-fi, horror, fantasy, and thrillers. Keeping to a niche lets us all stay interested and be motivated to read the book each month. And I have blogged my favorite books we’ve read. Yes, we do drink while at book club. But this is not a drinking club with a book problem. We don’t only read wine labels. So you won’t see any of those vibes in my gift ideas below.
Bookmark Gifts
Of course, a bookmark is not a great gift for your book club friends who only listen to books, or who exclusively use an e-reader! Be sure you know your audience! But I do love a bookmark. I will often take the free ones offered at my local, independent bookstore.
