Torpedo Factory Wedding: Summer Fun
I always want good weather for my clients. But for T & K, good weather honestly had a bonus. It meant that T’s dad would bring his cherished 1955 MGB out of the garage for some sweet photos before we went over to Torpedo Factory for the wedding. See if you can pick out which picture in the MGB I like the best.
There are so many picturesque spots in Alexandria, Virginia. But it can take some time to get around to them – especially while walking in your wedding day heels on those cobblestone roads and alleys!
Torpedo Factory Wedding Ceremony
We set up their Torpedo Factory wedding ceremony in the traditional location in front of the spiral stairs. But we hid the stairs with drape, and then built out an “altar” with hedge walls and an oversized photo frame. We masked the frame’s feet with ferns. And by “we” I mean T did all of this herself.
Torpedo Factory Wedding Reception
T & K had a very talented and generous aunt make all their Torpedo Factory wedding flowers – isn’t that incredible?! Also below, you will see how we flipped the ceremony space to a video gaming lounge! T & K knew that not all their guests would be big dancers, and we had more than enough space, so we made a plan to set up the lounge in front of the ceremony decor. Now, I am not exactly a pro at setting up gaming consoles, so Courtney and her son helped me set it up.
Since sparklers are a no-go at Torpedo Factory weddings, we opted for a bubble grand exit on the pier behind the wedding venue!
