White Barns for DC Area Weddings

The desire to be outside during your wedding day has only grown over the past years. Barns are still super popular for wedding venues. But the rustic vibes aren’t as desirable right now. Couples want a wedding venue that’s more chic, a little more of a blank slate. White barns are the new rage. Which I am here for. And we have a few in the area, check them out below!

I tried to share as much information as possible from what I could gather directly from these wedding venues and their websites. When they detail items like included tables and chairs, I try to share the value of that to you.

White Barns for Virginia Weddings

Fleetwood Farm Winery

I’m starting with my favorite, even though this is not a barn, per se. Fleetwood Farm Winery, in Leesburg, has a new building for their events, which is contemporary in style and white on the inside. There is a private garden for the ceremony. Cocktail hour is in the Barrel Room, which also has a patio. Your reception is in the stunning Loft. Rental rates range from $10,800 to $13,800. Your vendors have access from 11 am to 11 pm, and your guests have access from 5 pm – 11 pm. The rental includes 200 ceremony chairs, 200 reception chairs, and 20 farm tables. This is a value of about $6000 were you to use all of it.

You can bring in your own beer and liquor. All wine must be purchased from Fleetwood Farm; a minimum of 1 case per 25 guests. So if you have 200 guests, you must buy 8 cases from them. This is 96 bottles of wine or about 480 pours. You could easily meet this minimum with just the wines for dinner service and a bubbly toast. What I love about Fleetwood, aside from the gorgeous venue that they designed to be private from their tasting rooms, is that it is at the top of the Greenway, so it is very close to Dulles. And the wines are good!! There are 2 dressing rooms on-site. There is a list of approved caterers, and you are required to hire a professional coordinator.
