Shrine Mont Wedding | Happy Anniversary MB & Chris!

Happiest of anniversaries to MB and Chris! They are celebrating their 4th anniversary today alongside with their new baby boy! You can click to see all the photos from their
Orkney Springs, Virginia destination wedding. You might be wondering what makes Virginia a destination for a wedding? Well in this particular case,  I want you to imagine a wedding venue like the resort in Dirty Dancing (the original film, of course) with no internet and no air conditioning. That is Shrine Mont. Filled with peace and calm, a gorgeous wedding ceremony “shrine” and the most amazing comfort food cafeteria ever. There were about 200 guests at MB and Chris’s wedding, and they all drove at least a couple hours to get to Shrine Mont, and they all stayed at least 1 night. This is the most basic definition of a destination wedding, right? I think some couples underestimate how “destination” their wedding really is, and could probably do a little more to help their wedding guests feel welcome in a new town.
