Happy FIRST Wedding Anniversary to B & M!
This lovely couple had a classic and elegant wedding at the Daughters of the American Revolution in Washington DC one year ago today! While the weather was a bit spotty in the beginning, Matt Mendelsohn still captured many amazing photos!
We did the first look as well as the wedding party and immediate family portraits at the DC War Memorial, which is little-known and off the beaten path, which is nice. It also provides no parking so the limo was stopped in the middle of Independence Avenue to unload the wedding party! There has to be a better way!
As I mentioned, the weather was spotty, forcing us into our back up plan, but the O’Byrne Gallery is simply stunning in its own right!
And then the sun came out! Just beautiful, like this couple. Congratulations, B & M, on your first anniversary, and I hope your next year is even better!
Despite the weather being great after the ceremony, we had to set up the cocktail hour before the ceremony, which meant that the cocktail hour was moved to the Library. Again, not our first choice, but guests always ooh and aah when they walk into the DAR Library. It is a showstopper of a room. And B & M gave welcome remarks from one of the balconies, which was also quite fun. Dinner was back in O’Byrne and dancing was on the Terrace as we originally planned.
