District Winery DC wedding ceremony first kiss

District Winery: DC Wedding

We ended up working on this District Winery wedding for H & R for a long time because they had to postpone their wedding due to the pandemic, and their venue, District Winery, is SO popular that they had to wait a full year from their original date for their new date. But H & R are the sweetest, so we had no problem hanging out with them for another 365 days.

The ladies got ready in H & R’s immaculate home in DC. I had fun styling the stationery with the produce I found in the kitchen.

There are so many great photo ops in the Navy Yard area. I am partial to the bridge, but District Winery is a great backdrop as well. The flower girl was so precious; her unicorn backpack was adorable and super functional! 😉 I am also so in love with H’s dress. It is so beautiful and so different from what most of my clients wear, and subtly sexy and incredibly photogenic. I really adore it. H honestly looked like an ethereal goddess.

District Winery: Ceremony

District Winery wedding ceremonies tend to look similar, given the strong design of the space. But who cares?! They are so so beautiful!

District Winery: DC Reception

Here is the District Winery wedding reception for H and R. At the end I included the final floor plan for these 122 guests. We had a band, so we did dancing at the far end. Don’t miss the reappearance of the flower girl and her unicorn backpack.

I love a modern geode cake. If I got married again, I would strongly consider that cake design. And it was perfect for H & R at their District Winery wedding.
