Archer Hotel Tysons: Wedding Reception on the Rooftop
P and S had the sweetest Spring wedding celebration with a wedding reception at the Archer Hotel Tysons. We were so thrilled to be a part of it. It was our first time at the Archer Hotel in Tysons Corner, Virginia. The Archer has a great rooftop terrace and ballroom, so it is perfect for a Northern Virginia wedding reception. The Archer also has great hotel room suites for all your wedding morning photos. Vendor credits at the bottom!

The flower girls and the groom took slightly different tactics when it came to waiting for the ceremony to begin at the church.

Archer Hotel Tysons: Rooftop Terrace Cocktail Hour
The weather held out for us, and we were able to use the Archer Hotel rooftop terrace for the wedding cocktail reception. Guests enjoyed the audio guest book, which is a new trend we’ve been seeing at weddings. It is crucial to have a sign with instructions or have a friend nearby to help wedding guests utilize the technology.
The hotel did set up a remote bar on the Terrace, as the main reception bar is built inside the ballroom. There is more than enough patio furniture on the terrace. We had 80 guests. Honestly, if you had many more guests, you might want less furniture!

Archer Hotel Tysons Wedding Reception: Rooftop Ballroom
Since the Archer Tysons is a new hotel, they offer nice ballroom chairs and nice linens as well. It’s great when a turnkey wedding venue, such as a hotel ballroom, is furnished with nice aesthetic options.
P has the best musical taste: Taylor Swift and Broadway musicals are her go-to. Needless to say, we got along swimmingly. One of my favorite things at wedding receptions is when the special dances go beyond the parent dances. Be creative and see how you can include other special wedding guests. Here we opened the dance floor with ABBA’s Dancing Queen, and P danced with her mom, her sister, and her 2 adorable nieces.
Bonus points if you can tell which Taylor Swift Era (or album) was influencing the wedding day visuals. Hint: it is not Speak Now.

It could be noted that the flower girls had three total outfits. They had ceremony dresses, Disney Princess gowns for cocktail hour, and third-look party dresses. My kind of girls.
