2016: Animals at Real Weddings
As an animal lover myself, I love it when animals pop up at my clients’ weddings. Sometimes it is planned, and sometimes it is magically spontaneous. Here are just a few photos from 2016 real weddings where an animal made an appearance!
Brooke’s horse Socrates couldn’t attend her wedding to Mike at DAR, but Andrea from LynnVale Studios found this statue, and it came along to the wedding in Socrates’ stead. We positioned him at the bar for maximum exposure (who doesn’t go to the bar at a wedding?) and Andrea gave him this fabulous mini wreath. Photo by Matt Mendelsohn.
This little bunny was discovered on the grounds of the National Cathedral by Taylor & Ben. It was such a sweet surprise to discover when I was looking through the day’s photos! I appreciate photographers who are finding these fun details!
.These last two photos by Carly Romeo both include animals who reside permanently at Riverside on the Potomac. I have a special connection to these chickens because of my “chicken wedding” there in 2013. I love this candid of this hen.
And who doesn’t love how these two horses seem to be looking on while K & W share their first look and portrait session with Carly! I adore the framing, so well done.
Leslie and Jon knew that their corgi, Junior, could not attend their wedding at DAR. Instead, they made a fabulous cutout of him for the photobooth so that he was included and remembered!
Are you planning to include any animals in your wedding day? Let me know in the comments!
