Deborah and Jason live in Texas but Deborah’s grandparents live in the DC area and aren’t able to easily travel, so having their wedding in DC was a no-brainer. Hundreds of wedding guests took over the JW Marriott for the wedding weekend, which was just steps from the wedding venue, the Ronald Reagan Building. Guests attended a cocktail reception while the family and wedding party witnessed the ketubah signing. Their Jewish wedding ceremony was held in the round, on a raised platform with a gorgeous rustic chuppah grounded by piles of heirloom pumpkins and gourds. After the ceremony, guests went right into dancing in the Pavilion room, while the dinner stations were set up. After dinner, an extensive dessert buffet was set out, and that was followed by nachos and milk shakes.
