Row Row Row Your Boat – Scarlett Turns One!

Scarlett is now well on her way to being five and a half, but I would be remiss to never post these photos from her first birthday party, because planning this party with her mom and aunt was beyond fun. Mom (a friend of mine since we were in middle school) quickly settled on a Row Row Row Your Boat theme, as it was one of Scarlett’s favorite songs at the time. She found Lemonade Design Studio on Etsy and created this great invitation (and worked with her on the invitations for the next 4 parties as well!)  There were a range of ages in the kids attending the party, so a range of snacks were offered, many with a nautical theme. The centerpiece was a fantastic rainbow nautical tiered cake from Charm City Cakes. My husband created the cardboard boat with the idea that it would be a photo op for party guests, but it was a pretty sweltering hot August day, so most folks stayed inside.
