Riggs Hotel Rooftop Wedding
A & M had the sweetest, most intimate rooftop wedding at the Riggs Hotel. The Riggs has a contemporary rooftop event space where the ceremony takes place, and then the guests go to Cafe Riggs for drinks and hors d’oeuvres while the rooftop is flipped for the dinner reception and dancing. I would limit your guest list to 80 and hire a DJ rather than a band at the Riggs.
As always, I recommend booking the biggest hotel room your budget allows. Riggs has a bunch of fabulous, gorgeous suites, and the biggest is the Riggs Suite, but don’t miss the First Ladies suites or the Gallery suites. The Riggs Suite is big enough to do your first look in.
There are so many photo ops at the Riggs. From the rooftop to the reception desk key boxes to the bank vault to the elevator bank to Cafe Riggs, you will have such variety for your wedding portrait session.
Riggs Hotel Rooftop Wedding Ceremony
The Riggs rooftop wedding venue is a blank canvas that you can do literally anything with. Their in-house chairs are dark purple, but you could also rent different chairs for as little as $7 each. Riggs also has tall black pillars and black urns that you can opt to use with your wedding decor.
Back down in Cafe Riggs, you have a semi-private space to enjoy drinks from the bar as well as passed and stationary hors d’oeuvres. There is also a space to set out your escort cards if that is how you are communicating seating assignments to your guests.
Rooftop Wedding Reception at Riggs
Since your guest list is 80 or fewer, the flip of the Riggs rooftop takes exactly an hour, so you do not have to extend your cocktail reception. ALthough I will confess that when we set up all the candles you see below, we BARELY got it done in time!
The bride made and decorated these wedding cakes – aren’t they just absolutely precious?
