Decatur House Wedding: Spring Chic
We love Decatur House weddings no matter the season, but Spring is super special in Washington DC. The cherry blossoms get a lot of the hype, but the whole city is green and growing after the end of Winter. The surge of Spring tourists can cause headaches but they also lend a buzz to the city that is lost in the dog days of July and August.
M & J live in Charlotte now, but Northern Virginia is M’s hometown, so they decided to marry in Washington DC. M and her ladies opted for an AirBnB to get ready in, which was a wonderful idea.
Often times, with out Management clients, I don’t know what the wedding attire is going to look like until I arrive on the wedding day. And I do love to see really creative and gorgeous dresses like the ones we see here.
St. John’s Georgetown Wedding Ceremony
We had never worked at St. John’s before and it was a treat. The church folks were kind as can be, and All Pro Charter worked really hard to make sure everyone arrived on time, despite the narrow and one-way roads of Georgetown.
Spring Decatur House Wedding Reception
Decatur House weddings are so lovely because they are so diverse. The venue really lends itself to any color palette, any rental selection, any vibe you want. So in the spring, cheerful flowers under a clear top tent with stately wooden chairs is completely perfect.

We have been so lucky to work at Decatur House many times in the past, including a pretty pastel summer wedding at Decatur House, and a French-inspired wedding at Decatur House, and I have written up a Decatur House wedding cost sample budget.
