Hotels for Weddings in Loudoun County, Virginia

I cracked a joke recently while speaking on an informational panel at a wedding show about the limited hotel options in Loudoun County for your wedding room blocks. I later received some push back on my joke. So let’s look at what is available to you when you book one of the nearly ONE HUNDRED other wedding venues in Loudoun County (because many of the places I list below can also host your wedding.) Resorts in Loudoun

West Belmont Place – A resort for up to 1800 guests in Leesburg. They do offer room blocks. If your wedding is there, the courtesy block will be up to 40 rooms. If your wedding is elsewhere, the courtesy block is limited to 25 rooms.
Salamander Resort and Spa – The premiere resort in the area, located in Middleburg. Since they have their own events, they are not always able to offer room blocks. I have seen courtesy blocks from there, often the rooms are $289++ and up.
Lansdowne Resort and Spa – They can have multiple events per weekend at this Leesburg resort, so they do not always offer room blocks. When they do, the blocks are always with attrition, which means you are making a financial commitment to get access to the block.

B&Bs and Inns in Loudoun

Briar Patch B&B – You can book the whole Middleburg-based property with 12 rooms for your wedding ceremony and reception for just one night, or for the whole weekend. If your wedding is elsewhere, they open up their individual rooms to be booked three months out, if they don’t already have a wedding.  If you want a rental of all 12 bedrooms, it’s a 50% deposit upon making the reservation and 50% one month prior to the date of the rental.  The online reservation system allows for the booking of individual rooms and the payment in full is at the time of the reservation. 

Fieldstone Farm – a circa 1770 country retreat in Hillsboro. They have 5 bedrooms on site and can accommodate tented events for up to 60 guests. You can book the whole manor house for $1200+ per night, and that includes breakfast and a wine/cheese hour in the afternoon.

Goodstone Inn – a luxury Middleburg property on 265 acres with 18 rooms spread over 6 houses and cottages. Their wedding clients book all their rooms for the wedding weekend. Couples looking for rooms with an off-site wedding are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Stone Manor B&B – A 1908 manor house in Lovettsville with 7 rooms. There is also a reception hall that can accommodate up to 150 with a dance floor. You can book the reception venue without booking any rooms. Rooms can be booked 60 days out and a wait list is maintained. They can provide lunch and refreshments if you use the manor house as your getting ready spot before your wedding. There is a two night minimum in peak season.

Sylvanside Farm – There are two renovated barns on this Purcellville property for your wedding celebrations. Two cottages, one with 1 bedroom and one with 3 bedrooms, are available alongside the 1774 Quaker-built manor house – which is primarily used for dining and entertaining. The cottages are pre-blocked for on-site wedding clients from April – early November.

The Manor at Airmont – This Round Hill wedding venue has an indoor space that can hold 75, or you can tent on the lawn for 150. There are 5 rooms in the B&B manor house. You can book any rooms that are available within 90 days. Outside of 90 days, there will be a two night minimum and a venue rental fee also applied.

The Manor at Courtland Farm – Here in Aldie, there are 6 rooms plus a cottage that can in total sleep up to 30 guests comfortably. This property is a former government safe house, so the vibe is a little different than the historic properties in Loudoun. A 50% deposit is required, and there is a 14 day cancellation policy.

Red Fox Inn – One of my favorite spots in downtown Middleburg. They offer wedding collections for 24 – 100 guests. There are 22 inn rooms, suites and cottages spread over 5 buildings. For couples who book a wedding at The Red Fox Inn & Tavern, the twenty-two inn rooms are placed in a block and the couples is given an online booking code for their guests, which includes a 10% discount on the Inn’s standard rate. The Middleburg Cottage is included for two nights within each of the wedding collections. The five inn rooms in the main building are required to be booked by the couple or their guests on the actual night of the wedding. For any other requests, the Inn does offer lodging buyout options. The buyout option does require a contract and payment is due in full at the time of booking with one form of payment. The couple will provide a rooming list with their guests first and last names ten days prior to arrival. The Inn does not accept credit cards from guests checking in to reimburse the Client.

WeatherLea – This Lovesttsville farm hosts no more than 20 weddings per year and offers lodging on site with a cottage with 3 bedrooms and a cottage with 1 bedroom. The three bedroom cottage is available for non-wedding clients, and you can book it based on availability at any time.

Wheatland Spring – This modern brewery on a 200 year-old farm in Waterford offers a cottage with 1 bedroom and a 2-night minimum is required. You can independently book the cottage up to 3 months in advance. The venue can host up to 200 with a tent. Without a tent, the venue is most comfortable at 80 guests.

Zion Springs B&B – This property in Hamilton, Virginia can accommodate up to 32 guests in 9 sleeping suites. The barn can accommodate 250 wedding guests. You can book four of the sleeping suites as far out as you like, but a quick look at their great online calendar shows that most weekends are already booked in prime wedding months.
