Happy FIRST Anniversary Melinda and Gloria!

This DC wedding was many “firsts” for me – my first legal wedding of two women, my first wedding on the Sequoia Yacht, my first “interesting date” wedding (11/12/13), my first Tuesday wedding,  my first wedding with a couple who lives in Florida, and my first wedding with less than 40 guests. For all these reasons it was memorable. But the reason it was most memorable was the pure joy not only between the couple but with every single guest who bundled up against the wind, the cold, and the rain, all of them traveling from out of state to attend this beautiful celebration. Michelle Lindsey captured amazing photos while battling the elements and working within a teeny tiny event space, Petal’s Edge provided beautiful and understated flowers, and Main Event served a wonderful meal.
