A Washington DC Military Wedding at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church

Matt and Abigail put a lot of thought into their wedding ceremony at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Washington DC. Their nieces and nephews were part of the wedding party as flower girls and sign bearers.  Abigail and Matt were actually married before Matt was deployed for a year, so they decided to walk down the aisle together, which I had never seen before, but it was really sweet and romantic. This was actually Matt and Abigail’s first look at each other on the wedding day – just moments before walking down to the altar. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house! After the ceremony, miniature American flags were distributed to guests, and were used in Abigail and Matt’s send off.
