Bridal Portrait Session on the USS Sequoia, Presidential Yacht
The bridal portrait session is not something my clients do often; it is a tradition found much further south. Abigail loved her wedding gown so much, she wanted to do a bridal portrait session in part so that she could wear it more than once! We settled on the USS Sequoia as the perfect venue. Abigail and Matt lived near where the ship is docked, and were already planning to have a historically-DC-themed wedding, so it was a perfect fit. We arrived early on a Sunday morning to a brilliant sunny day. Kurstin Roe really knocked it out of the park while documenting the session, and I had fun incorporating a few semi-Edwardian themed props.
How gorgeous is this bouquet by Growing Wild? I mean, seriously. We told Barbara that we wanted something cascading, and in the general wedding colors of peach and coral. We were blown away with what she came up with. Abigail borrowed the vintage stole and I think it looks perfect.
Thanks to Bella Umbrella for the parasol and The Garter Girl for the garter!
